Alumni Drum Corps

Traditional drum corps, the 1940's - 1970's style drum corps are alive and well in the form of "Alumni" drum corps. "Alumni" is a bit of a misnomer, suggesting that current members marched with the corps "back in the day'. In some cases this is true, but equally often many current members of alumni corps marched with drum corps who have disapeared to history. There are a number of permutations in these groups, from full size marching corps to small groups that perform in other venues. Regardless of the corps or the style, it is still drum corps. This website is devoted to these corps and represents an effort to provide information about the corps along with links, schedules and anything pertinent to these corps.

There's a great deal to add to this site, but we need your help. Please send us information about your corps. We'll gladly post stories, pictures, videos -- anything to promote your corps and to spread the word about alumni drum corps. Our email address is listed below.

Remember these?

Anyone who was around drum corps "back in the day" remembers Fleetwood Records. While there were others recording drum corps, such as Stetson B. Richmond, Fleetwood was the king of drum corps recordings. Fortunately for us, they are all still available, although on CD rather than vinyl. You can obtain your favorites at quite reasonable prices not only from Glen Weber listed above, but also directly from Fleetwood (yeah, they are still around). Their website is Fleetwood Records. By the way, the old vinyl copies are probably collector's items today.
